The Trials Phase

Three Standards.
One Benchmark.

Speed, Precision, and Accuracy are three independent standardized trials, each testing a distinct dimension of fighter aviation skill. Performance in each trial is scored, recorded, and published. Combined results determine Dogfight Bracket seeding. There is no place to hide and no path around the standard.

Speed is life. The Speed Trial tests each pilot's ability to execute a timed course at maximum velocity, demanding energy management, precision routing, and split-second decision-making.

Precision

Honoring the legacy of dive bombing, the Precision Trial tests ordnance delivery against fixed targets. The approach, the release, the result: each measured against an unmoving standard.

Accuracy

Aerial marksmanship under pressure. The Accuracy Trial tests cannon employment against moving targets, demanding the geometry, timing, and trigger discipline that separate the competent from the elite.

The Dogfight Bracket

High-Aspect BFM.
One Shot to Decide It.

The Dogfight Bracket is distinct from the Trials Phase. Where the Trials measure individual performance against a fixed standard, the Bracket is a direct elimination contest built on High-Aspect BFM. Two pilots, one merge, one outcome. There is no margin for error.

The Dogfight Bracket is built around High-Aspect Basic Fighter Maneuvering. Two pilots converge head-on, and everything collapses into a single engagement at the merge. There is no setup. No patience permitted. Just geometry, airspeed, and the decision made in a fraction of a second.

Angles. Airspeed. Weapons employment. Survival instinct. Pilot versus pilot, where skill and judgment decide who gains the shot and who lives to fight another turn.

Every SFL event is flown in two of the most battle-proven fighters in modern aviation, under identical, standardized conditions. No custom loadouts. No equipment advantage. The aircraft is the constant; the pilot is the variable.

Hornet

The carrier-borne workhorse of modern naval aviation, versatile across every trial. In SFL competition, the Hornet rewards pilots who pair aggression with discipline.

F-16C

Fighting Falcon

The Viper: light, fast, and lethal at the edge of the envelope. In SFL competition, it rewards pilots who push an aircraft to its absolute limit.

League Structure

Two Lanes.
One Standard.

The SFL runs two parallel competitive lanes. The Online Tournament Series and the Live Professional Series are independent paths, not sequential stages. Pilots may compete in one or both.

Online Series

Online Tournament Series

The OTS unites pilots worldwide under a single standard of professional competition. Pilots compete from their own setups, anywhere in the world, across all standardized events. Results are scored, ranked, and published. OTS is the proving ground and the primary broadcast event for the global audience.

Live Professional Series

The LPS brings elite pilots into live arena competition before a live audience. Three Regional Qualifiers, rotating across AMER, EUR, MENA, and APAC, determine who advances to the SkyMasters Cup in Las Vegas.
